Like many hall traditions, the annual hall photo was suspended during the Second World War. This more informal photo was taken on 21 March 1943 and shows around 20 Anselmians in the quad behind Schuster along with a handmade board depicting the hall toast (Floreat Aula Sancti Anselmi) and the original crest (the mitre was later removed after it was pointed out that it should only be used by bishops.)
