The men of St. Anselm Hall who gave their lives in service have been remembered in different ways throughout the hall's history. This page explores some of those memorials.

The earliest war memorial in hall is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Robinson who died at Gallipoli in 1915. A print of Pinturicchio’s ‘A young knight kneeling,’  it was purchased by fellow Anselmians but little else is known of its provenance

After the loss of twenty-three Anselmians in the Second World War, an appeal in the late 1940s raised £214 for the first Hall War Memorial.

The money raised was used to purchase a bible and lectern which were dedicated on 5th November 1951 and remain in use in the hall chapel today.

A full list of donors to the first War Memorial  can be found here.
